To the man that loved us with every ounce of his soul from the moment we were born to the moment he left this earth.  To the man who served the Lord with integrity and held truth to the values of family and faith.  To the man whose thirst for knowledge would envelop you in a conversation about history or religion or the endless fascination of the intelligence and antics of our dogs.  To the man whose curiosity for all things would lead him to tinkering with every little thing or gadget he could touch or getting an iPhone at 89 and learning to text and FaceTime.  To the man who was sustained by the love of the Almighty and the real and unwavering love of his Tweety, his honey of 66 years.  To the man who had not one bit of patience and could grump often.  To the man whose sense of humor could brighten any moment and whose laugh was bigger than life itself.  To the man who could fill you with ease and comfort just by sitting next to you.  To the man who gave you an overwhelming feeling of love and acceptance when he would squeeze your hand tight, pull you in for a bear hug and a kiss.  To the man, who as he aged, taught us to age with dignity and humor and humility.  To the man who as the Lord called home, went home with courage and peace, knowing what lies ahead.  To the man who was the true testament of a Patriarch and led our family beyond what we could have ever asked for.  To our honey, Dad, Pop, PawPaw, Grandpa, brother and friend….we love you more than words can describe and thank you for loving, teaching, leading, protecting and laughing with us with all that you were for all the days of your life.
