Wade Trosclair

d. June 12, 2020

Wade Allen Trosclair has been granted his angel wings on June 12, 2020. His final days were spent at his home in Covington, LA with his wife of 23 years, Gynell, and his daughter, Paula, by his side as he peacefully went to his forever home in Heaven. Wade, also known as “Pops” to many, was born on December 24, 1945 in Harahan, LA to Essie and Esther Trosclair. In 1963, Wade graduated East Jefferson High School and in 1965, he joined the NAVY. He was a radio operator during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1967. He then began his career at Delta Airlines and retired in the year 2000 after 33 years. Wade moved to the Northshore in the early 1980’s and this is where he remained calling it his temporary home with Gynell, whom he married in 1996. Wade was well known for his long, entertaining stories and telling jokes, which he loved to tell often. He was a “foodie” and would love to swap recipes or just talk about food. He also found his recliner a treasure along with his Bible, remote control and the TCM channel. He loved working in the yard and always kept it up so beautifully. He also loved his crossword puzzles and would always have a book with him at every Dr.’s visit or anywhere he had to sit and wait. But what he cherished the most was his “Honey”, Gynell, who lovingly supported him during their last days together on Earth. His last wishes were to be wherever Gynell is. Wade was also a very active member at Cornerstone Church. He attended every service, Bible study, prayer meeting and Men’s breakfast that he could. He loved the Lord with all his heart and wanted the world to know it. Wades life will forever be celebrated by his surviving spouse, Gynell,; Seven children: Michelle Trosclair, Paul (& Sherry) Trosclair, Yvette Trosclair, Julius (& Monette) Scott, Paula Scott, Julie (& Ray) Sparnecht and Brandon Scott; 12 grandchildren; Breanna Trosclair, Malina Trosclair, Jonathan Trosclair, Amelia Trosclair, Chris Hanson, Jake Hanson, Joshua Scott, Kayla Scott, Abigail Long, Gabrielle Sparnecht, Gage Scott and Bella Morrison. Along with many other friends and family in Christ. Loved ones that cleared the path are his parents, Essie & Esther Trosclair, his brother, Lynn Trosclair and a son, Timothy Scott. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of his life Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 23051 La 1088, Mandeville, LA 70448.
