Terri Marengo

November 23, 1959 — September 11, 2021

Terri Ann Marengo, entered her eternal life on Saturday, September 11, 2021 surrounded by her husband and adoring children. She was a native of Metairie, longtime resident of St. Bernard parish and resided in Carriere, MS the past 15 years. Terri was the loving wife of Anthony (Tony) Marengo Jr. for 43 years, and beloved mother to Alisha Foster (Ferriss), Dana Dazet (Joseph), Trey Marengo (Mindy), and Chloe. She was Nana to six grandchildren Conner and Olivia Dazet, Evan and Avery Showalter, Alex and Zoey Marengo. Survived by four sisters Danielle Fontenot, Cathy LeCron, Tabatha Domm, and Valerie Hebert, beloved godmother Marilyn Jaume, brother-in-law Britt Marengo and wife Julie, and numerous loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Leandrew Smith, Jacqueline Messina Peltier and stepfather Daniel Claude Peltier, as well as her in-laws, Anthony Marengo Sr. and Rayma Phelps Marengo.

Terri was like a mother to many of her children’s friends and enjoyed watching them all grow into adults. She was a people person and loved a good party and dancing most every chance she could.  She was a member of the Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras club with her husband Tony and later with her children. She made friends everywhere she went and looked forward to Wednesdays with “the ladies,” trips with her lifelong friends and game nights with her family. She attended St Catherine of Siena School and graduated from Grace King High School. She worked at Holy Cross School for 10 years, where she made numerous friends and touched the lives of so many students. Above all else in life, Terri was a devoted wife, mother, nana and friend. She put her family above all else and lived her life for them. She will be missed more than anyone can express, but her memory will last with them forever.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1050 Robert Blvd, Slidell, LA 70458, on Saturday, September 25, 2021.
