Robyn Alfred

May 2, 1965 — July 7, 2021

Robyn Terrebonne Alfred

Robyn passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2021, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital after a three-year long battle with breast cancer. She was born May 2nd, 1965, as Robert Terrebonne and the late June Babin’s first and only daughter and Troy, Tyler, and her late brother Mark Terrebonne’s only sister. Robyn lived a joyful and worthy life with her high school sweetheart and husband of 32 years, Will Alfred, and her three loving sons, William (30), Ryan (26), and Jordan (23).

A devoted mother and loving wife who had an unselfish desire to help others including caring for her late mother’s bout with Alzheimer’s while she herself was dealing with her first battle with cancer. Her strongest passion was always towards her family, which fueled her deep interests in sports, art, the theatre and all the other things her boys were passionate about. Her compassion, thoughtfulness, and kindness stretched beyond her family and everyone who was lucky enough to know her soon grew to love her. Some of her favorite things were: the Kentucky Derby, gardening, repurposing, sunsets, boiled crabs, hummingbirds, tree frogs, and the baby panda she would watch grow on the Smithsonian National Zoo’s webcam. She was especially fond of the Little League World Series which, in her words, was everything that is right about the world.

During Robyn’s three-year battle with cancer, she always said she had a lot to live for. She stayed strong in the fight, never felt sorry for herself, and always counted her blessings. She never took for granted the great support system including the doctors and nurses that took care of her nor the friends and family that wished her well and were always there for her.

The family gives special thanks to the St. Tammany Parish Hospital medical team, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, and Dr. Hebert and his staff. Words will never fully express the gratitude that we have for Dr. Saux and his amazing staff who brought peace and joy to Robyn in the most difficult time of her life.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service on Saturday, July 24th, 2021, at 2 pm at Atkinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Morgan City, Louisiana.
