Obituary

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our loved one, Prakashni Dawn Johnson-Isaac.

Prakashni Dawn Johnson was welcomed into the world on April 19, 1986 by her father, Donald R. Johnson, and mother, Devina Maharaj-Chun, in Long Beach, California. She spent her early years in the city of Long Beach and later relocated with her family to the island of Oahu in Hawaii.

Prakashni always had a strong curiosity about life and learning. As a young girl, she excelled academically and this scholarly success followed her into adulthood where she later graduated from the University of Phoenix with three degrees. She was awarded an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

First and foremost, Prakashni was a mother. She was the matriarch of a beautiful family consisting of five delightful children. In addition to raising her children, Prakashni’s passion for cooking and baking filled her days and the days of those around her with an abundance of joy and happiness. Her family and a host of friends were recipients of not only her unwavering kindness and love, but also her generous gifts that came in the form of delicious meals and baked goods.

Our beloved Prakashni is survived by her five loving and devoted children, her daughters, Mishalei Diamante Isaac, Gabriella Prakashni Isaac, and Jazmine Pavielle Isaac, and her sons, Janron Isaac Jr. and Jaxx Isaac. Additionally, she is survived by the father of her children, her ex-spouse Janron Isaac.

She is survived by her parents, Donald R. Johnson and Devina Maharaj-Chun, her siblings, Prakash Johnson and Akashni Johnson, and her nephew Pharaoh Fowler.

Prakashni was preceded in death by her Grandfather Donald R. Johnson Sr. of Dayton, Ohio and her Grandmother Joyce Gwendolyn Myles of Victorville, California. She has an Aunty Rhonda Flanagan of Victorville, California and an Aunty Minou Zia of Honolulu.

Prakashni was preceded in death by her Grandfather Prakashwa Nand of Suva, Fiji. She has a Grandmother Vidya Maharaj who resides in Wellington, New Zealand along with her Aunt Preeti Mala, and Uncles Devanesh Sharma and Pravesh Sharma. She also has a step-father from her mother’s previous marriage, Kenneth J. Buffa of Bakersfield, California. She also has a step-father from her mother’s current marriage, David Chun of Honolulu.

Prakashni has a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who hold her close to their hearts.

On behalf of her family, we would like to thank you all for your thoughts, well wishes, and prayers.
