Dolores L. Dick passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the age of 93. A native of New Orleans, she was born to the late Evariste “Jack” Landry Jr. and Irene G. Landry; and preceded in death by her two sisters, Elsie and Betty. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Wilbur ”Bill” C Dick. She is survived by her loving children, Jack, Jill, Kurt and Karen; her grandchildren, Chad, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Michelle, Nicholas & Sheraden; as well as Great-grandchildren, Cade, Cody, Makalia, Jax & Amelia. Dolores was proud of her family and valued them immensely.
Dolores loved to dance and spent many times in her teen years doing so with her friends. Dolores enjoyed 50 years of bowling on a league; many with her friend Lorraine. She also enjoyed many years of being in card groups and looked forward to Sundays at the casino with her childhood friends, Joyce and Gerry. They became known as “The Golden Girls.” Dolores loved playing scrabble with family and with her scrabble buddy, friend, caregiver & neighbor, Carol. The family would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to all who provided care and comfort to her.
The family will hold a memorial service Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Henry’s Church, 801 General Pershing St, New Orleans, La 70115. The service will be followed by a private burial in Lake Lawn Cemetery.
