Deborah Centanni Sayler, Passed away suddenly on Wednesday February 12, 2020. Deborah was born in New Orleans and grew up in Marrero and Eunice Louisiana. She became the light and rock of her husband Hoyt’s life when they met in New Orleans. They joyfully married on October 23, 1983. She lived in Abita Springs for the last 29 years of her wonderful life. After working several years as Deputy and other capacities for the Orleans Parish Sheriff Office, she attended Delgado Community College and obtained a degree in Cardiac Technology. She then worked at Lakeview Regional Medical Center until she retired a few years ago. This allowed her to pursue her own business full-time in handcrafted jewelry, knitted articles and hand-made soaps that had been part-time until then. Her passions were her adopted dogs that she loved and cared for; bird-watching especially bald eagles and in her front yard and knitting. She was a member of the Bayou Haystackers Paddling Club as she loved canoeing on bayous to bird-watch. She is survived by her husband of 36 years Hoyt Raymond Sayler, Her Mother Della Mullins Centanni, Her nieces Morgan Centanni and Candace Centanni, and her nephews Robert Centanni and Brandon Centanni. Services will be held on February 20, 2020 at Bagnell and Sons Funeral Home in Covington, Louisiana visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers kindly consider donating to Northshore Humane Society.
