David Meiners Sr.

David Joseph Meiners Sr. Passed away at his home on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the age of 64 years.

David Sr. was born on May 22, 1955, in Covington, Louisiana to Roberta Ruth Sturm and Fred Joseph Meiners. David Sr. attended grade school in Mandeville, LA where he also attended High School at Mandeville High School. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University for a short period of time, before deciding to join the Mandeville Fire Department. He would work with the fire department for a total of 25 years before seeking other employment and eventually retiring.

David Sr. enjoyed his time on or around the water, mostly fishing.

David Sr. is survived by his siblings Steven Meiners, Mary Ann Cucchiara, Diane Cooper, and Billy Meiners and by his children, Melissa Brown, Jennifer, Rebecca, Julie Meiners, his son, David Meiners Jr., and daughter, predeceased, Sarah Meiners. He also has 7 survived grandchildren.

It was David Sr’s wish to be laid in eternal peace next to his daughter Sarah.
