Ciarra Carr

d. October 28, 2020

Ciarra N. Carr, 17, of Mandeville, LA, was called home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2020, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born September 8, 2003 in Mandeville, the daughter of Michael Carr, Sr. and Angela D’Luca. She was currently a junior at Lakeshore High School and a Master of her sport, Competitive Cheer, with LA Cheer Force in Baton Rouge, LA where she was a member of the Twilight Cheer Team.

Ciarra is survived by her parents, Michael Carr, Sr. and Angela D’Luca; brother, Michael Carr, Jr.; and sisters, Miquel Carr and Giuliana D’Luca-Carr.  She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Thomas D’Luca (Dione) and Debbie Iodice. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.  She is proceeded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mertis C. Patterson, and maternal great-grandmother, Eleanor Cook, maternal great-grandmother, Lena Iodice, and maternal great-grandfather, Alfred Iodice.

Anyone who knew Ciarra knew that she had a heart of gold as soon as they met her.  Her pure and loving heart showed through her charismatic smile that could light up any room.  She was loyal and kind, always with a positive attitude and looking out for others.  She was a happy, beautiful young woman who had her whole life in front of her; and she was more prepared for it than most.  She was strong inside and out.  She was a loyal confidant to many.  She was a fierce competitor in Cheer since she was six years old at Mandeville Sports Complex.  Most recently, her LA Cheer Force Twilight Team was crowned National Champions in 2019.  She lived to cheer!

Ciarra touched so many people during her 17 years here with us.  She was an awesome big sister to her little sister, Giuliana, and loved her with her whole heart. She was a tremendous mentor and role model to her two younger cousins, Madison Heid and Hayden D’Luca, who loved her dearly.  She will be missed by all who knew her, and all of our lives are changed forever by this horrific loss.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Ciarra’s life on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, LA 70435 with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
