Billy Sanders

Billy Joe Sanders Sr. Passed away on September 18, 2021 peacefully surrounded by family, into the arms of the Lord.  He was a dedicated Christian.  He was preceded in death by his mother Millie Sanders. He is survived by his wife, Malvina Pillitire Sanders, children B.J. Sanders Jr, (Carrie), Hope Sanders Bridger (R. Jeffrey), and Paul Eric Sanders (Michelle). He is also survived by six (6) grandchildren and three (3) great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sanders proudly served in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Soley, USS Woodson and USS Liddle.  He was a retired electrician and long time member of the IBEW Local #130. The lives of all who knew him were made brighter and more vibrant by his spirit, which lives on in our loving memory.  He truly never met a stranger. His passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of all that met him and loved him dearly.  His endearing, playful, infectious sharp wit and wonderful, mischievous smile, will be especially missed.
