August Sharp

August Joseph Sharp, better known as “AJ” was born on January 2, 1944. He passed away peacefully at the age of 77 on October 3, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Vickie Simon Sharp. AJ was the son of the late Bankston and Lucinda Jarrell Sharp of Covington. Brother to Alvin Sharp and the late Della Mae George and Maurice Sharp. He is survived by daughters Rebecca Galloway (Tootie) and Cathyleen Ruelle, along with 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Back Swamp hunting club and was an avid hunter. We invite family and friends to celebrate AJs life at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
