Anthony Marvin Heffner, Sr.

God knew it was your time to be with your loved ones in heaven.  In life, we loved you dearly. You will always be a guide for our family.  “Big Tony” aka “Marvelous Marvin” passed at 2 A.M. 9/14/2022.   Catholic Mass will be Wednesday 9/21/22 at 11:00 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Jefferson Hwy. Reception celebrating his life will follow at Augie’s Restaurant and Events 6005 Jefferson Hwy. from 12-3   Tony was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and Metairie, LA.  He was retired from NOPSI and a self-employed bar and restaurant owner.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Labiche Heffner, 2 daughters, Jennifer Heffner Martello (husband Matthew Martello) and Mary Katherine Heffner, as well as one son, Anthony Marvin Heffner Jr. (wife Renee Leger Heffner). He has 7 beloved grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother, Father Carroll Heffner and sister, Cynthia Heffner Stouder.  He will join his deceased family in heaven, Marvin J. Heffner and Catherine “Katie” Hughes Heffner and brothers, William “Billy” Heffner and Michael Gerard Heffner.  He left us with beautiful memories and recipes that we will forever cook in your honor. He would wish that any donations be made to Autism Society of New Orleans or Alzheimer’s of New Orleans.
