William Bouchereau, Sr

William Milton Bouchereau, Sr., Age 79, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish until Hurricane Katrina, and a current resident of Pearl River, Louisiana. Beloved husband of Dolores Henning Bouchereau of 59 years. Father of William Milton Bouchereau, Jr., Linda Dieudonne’ Kline and Dawn Bouchereau Elrod. He was preceded in death by his daughter Marguerite Harris Simmons. Grandfather of Allen Harris, Mark Harris, Crystal Harris, Deborah Simmons Lee, David Bouchereau, Alexis Bouchereau, Emily Bouchereau, Richard Dieudonne’, Colby Kline and Gabrielle Elrod. Brother of Edward Bouchereau, George Bouchereau and Martha Prudhomme. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
William was retired from the Louisianan National Guard and Kaiser Aluminum.
He fought a brave battle with cancer for 20 months. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice Northshore for all the compassion, care and concern during this time, especially Cheryl Ruston, Gary Breur and Brenda Peters. Also, thank you to Dr. McElveen and his staff.
