Wendell Sharp

Wendell C Sharp, 60 went to his heavenly home on Friday, September 9, 2022 at his residence in Franklinton, Louisiana surrounded by his family.  Wendell was born in Covington, Louisiana to the late Herman Sharp and Doris Gottschalk Sharp.

Wendell was a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana for many years.  He never met a stranger and he loved his family and friends very much, he would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He enjoyed hunting and hanging out with his friends. He also loved his Jack Russell Hermie who went everywhere with him.

His parents Herman and Doris Gottschalk Sharp preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Galloway Sharp, his children and spouses, Zachary (Amy) Barnes; Cameron (Kristy) Barnes along with his siblings Herman “Bim” Sharp (Vicky) Sharp; Melanie Sharp and Scott Sharp. His three grandchildren also survive him that he loved with all of his being, Kaitlin Barnes, Easton Barnes and Dalton Stafford and many other family members, cousins and friends.

Many loved him and he truly loved so many in return. He will be greatly missed but always remembered.

A memorial service will be held on September 17, 2022 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:00 am until service time with Pastor Michael West at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church located at 78689 LA-25, Folsom, Louisiana 70437. Internment in the Willie Cemetery in Folsom, Louisiana.
