Wayne Anthony Savoy Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Anthony Savoy, Jr. announce his passing on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the age of 48. He was a native of Marrero, Louisiana and resided in Indianapolis, IN for the last 25 years.  Father of Brandon Michael Savoy.   Long-time companion of Jackie Reed.  Son of Wayne Anthony Savoy, Sr., and Denise Matherne Savoy.  Brother of Patrick Dennis Savoy (Jill), Bryan Paul Savoy (Tammy), Bradley Joseph Lawrence Savoy (Lori), Jennifer Savoy Wales (Lyle), and Elizabeth Anne Savoy.  Uncle of Nicholas Burgo, Alexander Savoy, Kamryn Burgo, Leah Savoy, Jacob Church, Ava Church, Andrew Savoy, Khloe Trippe, Caleb Cox, Kelsey Cox, and Knoelle Trippe.  Grandson of the late Joesph Eddie Savoy, Shirley Lopez Savoy, Joseph Huey Pierce Matherne, Sr. and Joyce Eskine Matherne Wells.  Great Grandson of the late Lawrence Joseph Eskine, Florestine Barbier Eskine, and Lelia Hebert Lopez. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Best friend of Andrea Collignon for the last 35 years and her daughter whom he loved dearly Kieryn Ashleigh.

 Wayne loved his family dearly.   He had a heart of gold and a special love for his nieces and nephews.  He was a storyteller and always had you wondering what was coming next.  He could always put a smile on your face.  He loved fishing, Nascar Racing, and the New Orleans Saints.  He drove an 18-wheeler for WalMart for many years.  

Relatives and friends of the family, and employees of Wal Mart, and LearnNGrow Learning Center are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Lee Road, Covington, Louisiana 70435 on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 12:00pm.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Interment to take place at Eternal Rest Cemetery.
