Wayne J Bruno

Wayne J Bruno, of Louisiana, passed away on September 14, 2026, in Covington at the age of 79. He was born on July 28, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Wayne will be remembered as a man of faith, service, and deep devotion to the people around him. He was a member of the Samaritan Center, served in Prison Ministries, and was a small group leader at Church of the King. Through these commitments, he gave of himself generously and touched the lives of many in meaningful and lasting ways.

He also found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together. Wayne was a lover of all sports, especially football, and that enthusiasm was surely one of the many ways he connected with family and friends over the years.

Above all, Wayne cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Deanna S. Bruno; his daughter, Kelly Bruno; and his son, David Bruno, and David’s wife, Diana Bruno. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Bruno, and Paul’s wife, Kay Bruno, as well as his grandchildren, Dawson Bruno and Dylan Bruno. Each of them carries forward the love, guidance, and presence he shared throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlo Bruno, Sr.; his mother, Alice Van Haelen Bruno; and his brother, Carlo Bruno Jr. Their memories remained a lasting part of his life and story.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Church of the King, 22205 Little Creek Rd, Mandeville, Louisiana 70471. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.

Wayne J Bruno will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who knew him. His life was marked by faith, compassion, and a sincere care for others, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
