Trey Michael Samaha

Trey Michael Samaha, age 17, born on March 6, 2008, in Houma, Louisiana, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. He was a cherished young man who was full of life and spirit.

Trey was a member of St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church and Gracie United Mandeville and had a wide range of interests that reflected his vibrant personality. He loved Jiu-Jitsu, hiking, enjoyed fishing, and spent many happy hours reading. He had a special bond with his beagle, Delilah, and often engaged in lively debates. His love for Russian literature was a testament to his curious mind. Most importantly, he cherished spending time with his siblings, Grace, Matthew, Abigail, Emma, and Anne Samaha.

He is survived by his father, Michael Samaha Jr., and his mother, Jennifer Hammons Samaha. Trey was also surrounded by the love of his grandparents, Elaine and Michael Samaha, and Debbie and Douglas Hammons. He leaves behind a large family that includes uncles and aunts: Scott and Jennifer, Adam and Halee, Patrick and Victoria, Elizabeth and Dustin, Hannah, Benjamin Samaha, and Joshua Hammons, and many cousins.

Trey was preceded in death by his uncle, Jonathan Hammons and his great-grandparents, Mary Ortego Samaha, Myrtile Joseph Samaha, Rene and Flossie Bergeron, Euel and Christine Fuller, and John Paul and Opal Hammons.

He will be remembered for his kindness, enthusiasm, and the joy he brought to those who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Jane De Chantal with Visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. with the Rosary to begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 12:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow in the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
