Thomas Fitzhugh Avery Jr., born on October 3, 1950, in Washington, DC, passed away on July 7, 2025, in Reserve, Louisiana. He was a proud veteran who served in and retired from the US Navy, demonstrating his dedication to his country.

Thomas was a devoted family man. He is survived by his father, Thomas Fitzhugh Avery Sr., and his mother, Ann Avery. He leaves behind his son, Chris Avery, as well as his siblings, Jean Ingram and Donna Avery. Thomas was also a loving grandfather, cherished by his grandchildren: Madalynn, Dominick, Aurora, and Adrianna.

A man of simple pleasures, Thomas enjoyed watching football and had a particular fondness for Westerns. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
