Obituary

Terry Wayne Ard, affectionately known to everyone as "T-Bone," passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 49, entering into the presence of his Lord.

A lifelong resident of Varnado, Louisiana, Terry found his greatest joy in the simple things life had to offer. Whether he was fishing, hunting, or searching for rocks, arrowheads, and coins, he found peace in the outdoors and a deep appreciation for God's creation. A man with a generous heart, Terry was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Family, friends, and even strangers knew they could count on him. He would truly give the shirt off his back without hesitation. Though he never measured life by material possessions, he was abundantly rich in kindness, compassion, and the unconditional love he so freely shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

When he wasn't enjoying the quiet country life he loved, Terry could often be found expressing his creativity through drawing, painting, or coloring; often inspired by the driftwood he would find walking along the Pearl River and local creeks. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and caring nature will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.

Terry leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Destiny Ard; his son, Hunter Ard, and wife, Caitlynn Ard; his devoted parents, Charles and Shirley Freeman Ard; four cherished grandchildren, Matthew Ard, Preslee Ard, Paislee Ard, and Piper Ard; three loving sisters, Lateena Caves and husband Teddy Caves, Patsy Gilly, and Baretta Ard; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Though Terry's earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the legacy of generosity and kindness he leaves behind will never be forgotten.

Bagnell and Son Funeral Home was entrusted with his final care and arrangements.

A memorial Service will be planned by the family.
