Sue Ellen Toledano

Sue Ellen (Richard) Ellison Toledano, a resident of Pearl River, Louisiana, went to dwell with her Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was 82 years old and a daughter of Myrtle D (Haerer) Richard and Ernest P. Richard , born June 23, 1944, in New Orleans , Louisiana. Sue is survived and greatly missed by her 4 children: Dianna (Ellison) Polito (John Polito), Debra (Ellison) Jongeling ( Danny Jongeling), Dawn (Ellison) Pyke, and Richard Ellison (Melissa Alexander Ellison). She was "Maw Maw" to her adoring grandchildren: Jessica Polito, Amanda Pyke (Cody Helmke), Kegan Pyke (Carissa(Nano) Pyke), Alyssa Juneau, Richard Ellison Montano, Shawna (Opre) Burger, Tristen Opre, and Dalton Opre. She will be forever in the hearts of her great-grandchildren: Brayden Polito Carlisle, Abigail (Gonzales) Rayborn (Dylan Rayborn),Owen Gonzales, Harleigh Keahey, and Aria Montado.She has been preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diane Richard, and her spouse of 26 years, Larry L. Toledano.

She retired from being a librarian , where she worked at Pope John Paul II High School (Slidell) and Archbishop Hannan High School (Chalmette ) for over 20 years where she connected and took under her wing many, many more students as her "children". She enjoyed reading, sewing and various crafts.

There will be no funeral services or memorials. There will be a private family gathering at a later time.
