Steven Louis Chaney born January 31st 1981 in Ponca City Oklahoma passed away peacefully at his home in Covington Louisiana on June 6th 2026 at the age of 45 with his wife by his side.

Steven lived his life fast, hard and with all of his heart. Steven was proud to have served his country with the National Guard and then the U.S. Army. After leaving the Army, Steven spent his time doing what he loved most which was cooking, rescuing dogs, playing his video games and constantly trying to reach great heights with anyone who would join him. As far as Steven was concerned he didn't have many friends because the people he allowed into his life, he considered them all family. Steven's presence was undeniable and will be greatly missed.

Steven was proceeded in death by his mother Sherry Jo Chaney, grandparents Louis and Dora Mea Dennett and grandparents Walter and Letha Chaney.

Steven leaves behind his father Jesse Chaney, two older sisters Catherine R. Keiran (Andrew) and Michelle “Shelly” R. Martin (Mark), His wife of six years Gabriella “Shawna” L. Parrish, his two adopted daughters Denise G. Parrish (Nickolas) and Emilee A. Carlin (Jansen), and two grandsons Wyatt and Holden Bourgeois.

Celebration of life services will be announced at a later date.
