Shirley Ann Scheaffer Smith, 86, of New Orleans, Louisiana, peacefully passed away May 28, 2023, after
a lengthy battle with kidney disease. Shirley was a lifelong resident of the metro area, living in New
Orleans, Metairie, and Pearl River, Louisiana. 
Shirley loved life to the fullest.  She had a child-like passion for holidays, parades and festivals.  Her love
of music always had her front and center singing and dancing.  She was a proud NOLA Girl and very
patriotic.  Above all, Shirley adored her family unconditionally. 
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters, Keeley Smith, Marlene Eppling (Doug), Robbi Smith, Terri
Ardeneaux (Richard); cherished grandchildren, Jason Randall (Brittney), Kasey Randall, Renee Eppling,
Jessie Eppling, Nikki Thorne, Alyssa Ardeneaux, Alexa Ardeneaux; adored great grandchildren, Jericho
and Jensen Randall. Her sisters, Anel Wilson (Charlie) and Mary Spicuzza, along with a host of her
beloved nieces, nephews, and family friends.  She also shared a mutual adoration with her many grand
fur babies.
Shirley is proceeded in death by her parents, Walter Sr. and Hilda Hyatt Scheaffer; Thomas ‘TJ’ Smith;
siblings, Walter Jr. (Beverly), Albert, Richard, Frank, Donald Sr. (Barbara), and David Spicuzza.
Please join in the Celebration of Shirley’s Life on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Pearl River Community
Center, 39442 La-41 Spur, Pearl River, Louisiana, 70452. The doors will open at 2:00 p.m. with the
Celebration beginning at 3:00 p.m.  In memory of Shirley's favorite passions, feel free to join us in
wearing your patriotic, holiday or parade attire.
