Shirley Bordelon

Shirley Lucille Bradley Bordelon entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the age of 87. Shirley was born March 7, 1935 to the late Raymond Earl and Wilma Keller “Bootsy” Bradley. Beloved wife of Benton J. Bordelon, Jr. for 66 years.

Beloved mother of Benton J. Bordelon, III of Metairie, Bruce Raymond Bordelon of New Orleans, Louisiana and Cheryl Eads of Bush, Louisiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stephen Arthur Clesi, Michael Benton Clesi of Metairie, Louisiana and Joshua Adam Clesi of Thornton, Colorado.  She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Emma Clesi, Isabella Woodruff-Clesi, Joshua Clesi, Jr. and Gianna Clesi.

She attended Hotel Dieu school of nursing.  She worked many years at Lakeside Hospital and East Jefferson General Hospital.  She loved gardening, sewing, reading, and needlepoint.  She most loved spending time with family.  In her last years she called Lacombe Nursing Center home with much loved staff.  In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to Lacombe Nursing Center 28119 Us Hwy 190 Lacombe, La 70445.  A visitation will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home on May 5th at 10am with a Memorial Service to follow at noon.
