Sheryl R. Wentworth

Sheryl R. Wentworth, born May 7, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, left this world peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. As we reflect upon Sheryl’s life, we do so with a profound sense of love and gratitude for the countless ways she touched those around her.

Sheryl’s journey began amidst the quiet beauty of the Midwest, a place whose warmth and values remained part of her spirit no matter where life carried her. She grew up in a devoted family, the cherished daughter of Richard B. Wentworth and Edith Eleanor Wentworth, both of whom preceded her in passing but always lived on in Sheryl’s memories and her stories.

Throughout her life, Sheryl was a beacon of steadfast kindness and gentle humor. She cultivated friendships that bridged generations and distances, finding joy in conversation, shared cups of coffee, and the simple moments that made up the tapestry of her days. Her circle of friends became her chosen family—each relationship dearly treasured, each memory built lovingly over the years.

Sheryl is survived by her cousins Sue M. MIller, Cecilia Wand, and Jill Whelton, who each held a unique and precious place in her heart. Also left to honor her memory are her many friends: Suzanne Henry, Kristi Waters, Leigh Carrier, Elizabeth Henry, Judy Donnahoo, Carolyn Dillonn, and Yvonne Chrimes. These friends were more than companions; they were confidantes and pillars of support, sharing in joys and comforting during sorrows.

Sheryl’s laughter, wisdom, and gentle spirit will be lovingly remembered. She leaves behind a legacy woven through the lives she touched during her years as a Dental Hygienist as well as teaching others the framework of becoming one.

As we say goodbye, we hold fast to the lessons of kindness, compassion, and loyalty that Sheryl embodied every day. Her memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who loved her—a reminder that even the simplest lives, when lived with love, are truly extraordinary.
