Shelvey Jean Drew

Shelvey Jean (Turbeville) Drew, 72, gained her wings on November 13, 2025. She was a loving mother of 2, grandmother of 8, and great-grandmother of 2. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Larry Drew; her sisters, Patricia Richardson and Annette Shelley; and her parents, Herbert Turbeville and Tronnie Mae (Baxley) Turbeville. She is survived by her children, Pepper (Drew) Morgan and Dennis Larry Drew Jr. (Britiany); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Dennis; her brother, Donald Turbeville; her sister-in-law, Brenda Turbeville; and countless friends and family.

Jean was a beautiful person inside and out. She was selfless, nurturing, and compassionate, and she will be greatly missed. Her spirit was contagious, and her impact will be felt for years to come. She was full of light and love and provided everyone around her with comfort, laughter, and countless acts of kindness. There are no words to describe how precious she was to us and how empty we will be without her.

Our loving mother will be buried with, and reunited with, our father. Services will be held Wednesday, November 26, at 1 PM at Florence National Cemetery in Florence, SC.
