Sheila R. Branch

August 8, 1963 — March 1, 2026

Lakeview, Alabama

Shelia R. Branch, a cherished soul whose heart resonated with love and laughter, departed this world on March 1, 2026, in Bessemer, Alabama, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends. Born on August 8, 1963, in Jurupa, California, Shelia’s spirit was one of adventure and warmth, enamored with the simple joys of life, such as the tranquility of the beach, the thrill of boating, and the cherished moments spent with her beloved nieces and nephews.

Sheila was the beloved wife of Brian Crain, a partnership forged in love and mutual admiration. Together, they navigated life’s waters, creating a sanctuary filled with joy and warmth. She leaves behind her siblings, James "Donnie" Armstrong and Randy Crain (Aylene). Her boundless affection extended to her nieces and nephews—Meranda Prince (Steven), Joel Armstrong, Melanie Kaszubowski, Little Bruce Armstrong, T.C. Broom, Clayton Crain, Clinton Crain, and Ashley Brooks (Jordan). She delighted in the laughter and innocence of her great-nieces and great-nephews, including Mickayla Kaszubowski, Ezra Prince, Troy Varnado, Erin Kelly, Bella Broom, Zane Prince, Ruby Armstrong, Elizabeth Brooks, Patrick Brooks, Virginia Brooks, and William Brooks all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

Shelia’s life was further touched by the profound loss of her parents, James Roy “Bob” Armstrong and Dorothy “Inez” Armstrong, who provided her with a foundation of love and resilience. She also grieved the loss of her siblings Bruce Armstrong and Jamie Clark, and nephew Jimbo Kelly, whose memories she cherished deeply.

The world has lost a beacon of kindness, as Shelia’s laugh could light up even the darkest days. Her journey on this earth, while far too short, was filled with moments that became stories and memories that will be carried on by her family.

A visitation will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 on March 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
