Sheila Foster Willie

October 17, 1945 — September 9, 2025

Covington, Louisiana

Sheila Foster Willie passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 17, 1945 in Galveston, TX and was a resident of Covington for the last nine years, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church Covington.

Sheila participated in Bible study with her congregation, enjoyed regular dinners with neighbors, and traveled with her long-time work friends, whom she called “The Golden Girls.” The beloved mother of Brett Willie (Jill) and Erin Howard (Ben), Sheila adored watching her grandchildren together, treating them to extended vacations at Disney, the beaches of Florida, and a dude ranch in Wyoming.

She leaves behind her two children and five grandchildren, Moriah Bone (Issac), Foster Willie, Simon Willie, Owen Davis, and Samuel Willie. Known for her famous “homemade Maw Maw cookies” purchased from Albertsons and holiday potato casserole that she would often make just because the kids asked, she will be forever loved and missed for her kind, generous spirit and her devotion to the Holy Bible.
