Sharon Roussell Catalanotto passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on June 8, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 84. Born on February 20, 1942, in New Orleans, Sharon lived most of her life in Chalmette, and was a resident of Slidell for the last 20 years.

She was the beloved daughter of the late James "Curtis" Roussell Sr. and the late Noelie Alfonso Roussell.

Sharon’s legacy lives on through her children and their families: Steve R. Catalanotto Jr. (Laura), Sheryl C. Eaton (the late Craig A. Eaton Sr.), and Mark A. Catalanotto (Barbara).

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tiffany, Jennifer, and Craig. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her six great-grandchildren: Haylie, Ryan, Cameron, Asher, Tucker, and Vincent.

Sharon is also survived by her brother, James Curtis Roussell Jr. (Bobbie), her sister, Noelie Kattengell (the late Edward Kattengell), and her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, a Memorial Mass will be held at a later date, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chalmette, to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
