Shannon Evette Spinks

Shannon Evette Fitzmorris Spinks was born 8/9/1952 and gained her angel wings on 2/1/2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister/sister-in-law, aunt, and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her. She is proceeded in death by her parents Alberta Lamondra and Eddie Fitzmorris, the love of her life husband Ronnie their children, Angela Evette and Samuel Spinks. Brother Abe Fitzmorris, she leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son Jason Spinks, her daughter-in-love Sena and grandchildren Jason Ronald, Ashleigh Marie, and grandpup Max. Her sisters Lynn Ratcliff, Janice Brown (Mickey), brother Sam Fitzmorris (Jeanette), and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Shannon was an angel on earth who showed love and compassion to everyone she met. Her heart was gold and she brought a smile to everyone’s face. She loved church and worshiping God, playing bingo, going to the casino, dancing, listening to music,  most importantly, loved spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. She was an employee of Rainbow Northshore for over 20 years and loved her work family just like her own.  She was a member of New Life UPC in Covington. We would like to thank her sister Lynn for taking such good care of her when she fell ill. Janie and Mickey for helping to get her to appointments and Amanda Pearson for all of her help and support when the end was near, Wilkinson Care Giving for the special care takers and St. Tammany Hospice workers,  Michelle and Tawani for helping us care for our angel Shannon and becoming part of our family during this difficult journey. We would also like to thank those special angels (you know who you are) who supported us through these darkest times with your love and support. We were able to spend the last days showering Shannon with our love and care for that we will forever be grateful.
