Sammie O'Keefe Sr

Sammie Darrell O’Keefe Sr, 67 of Covington, Louisiana passed away on February 14, 2018 peacefully in his sleep. Sammie worked most of his life as a welder and a fishermen until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and loved to spend time with his family and friends. Sammie was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carlene Warner O’Keefe; along with 6 children; Sammie Darrell O’Keefe Jr(Mary), Gary Lynn O’Keefe(Jessica), Derek Rene O’Keefe(Shannon), Melissa Marie O’Keefe, Kelly O’Keefe Bardwell(Charles), Misty O’Keefe Rossiter(Mathew); 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his mother Mary Janet Sylvest O’Keefe; 5 siblings; Joseph Earl O’Keefe, Beth Wooley, Rhonda Spinks(Chris), Patrice Clark(David), Cindy O’Keefe(Ed), loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Sammie was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Judson O’Keefe. Funeral services will be held for Sammie O’Keefe on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
