Roy Brooks

Beloved son, spouse, father, and grandfather

Roy Lee Brooks passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the age of 51 at his residence in Folsom, LA.  He was born in Covington, LA on July 16, 1969 to Imagean Warren Jenkins and Junior Aubrey Brooks.

Roy is survived by his wife, Suzette Brooks, his children, Roy Miller “Little Roy”, Amber Brooks (Billy), and Natalee Brooks, his stepchildren, Samantha Dutruch (Chase) and Brittany Heck, his grandchildren, Toni Rene’, Sadie, Aaron, Saige, Sandie, and Hunther, his mother Imagean Jenkins, his siblings, Floragean Douglas, Charles Brooks, Edgar Jenkins, Bertha Taylor (Randy), and Melissa Jenkins,  his dogs, Bud, Squealer, and Missy, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is predeceased by Junior Brooks, Jewel Edgar Jenkins (stepdad), his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and friends.

Roy worked around horses most of his life. He liked raising cows, chickens and having a garden. He loved spending time his family and friends. He enjoyed meeting the grandkids in Lacombe and going fishing and crabbing with them. He is no longer in pain, but will be missed dearly.

Memorial Service will be held at Savannah Branch Church of God on Saturday, March 6, 2021 by invitation only. All family and friends are welcome to join us at Willie Cemetery at noon on March 6, 2021 for interment.
