Robert “Rob” Bowles, Jr,

Robert “Rob” Paul Bowles, Jr, passed away on January 25, 2022, following 5 days of intensive care after being hit by a truck while on his bicycle on Codifer. Rob was born in New Orleans, LA on June 16, 1972, to Robert P. Bowles, Sr. and Jackie Blackwell Bowles. He is survived by his sisters Sheri Wilkins (Dennis) of Mandeville, LA, and Alesia Gagliano (John) of Ponchatoula and his brothers Bryan of Fort Smith, AR, Ray (Lehidys) of Naples, FL, and Doug (Jill) of Metairie, LA. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who he really enjoyed watching grow up. Rob attended St. Catherine of Siena and Grace King. Following high school, he served in the US Navy. He was a certified welder. He worked for Diversified Offshore Drilling for numerous years and had been doing HVAC work prior to his passing. Rob lived his life without fear, was a jokester, and found humor even when no one else could. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the funeral services at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, Metairie, LA, on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with a mass of Christian burial at noon. A Celebration of Life will follow the mass at the Elks Lodge #30, 2215 Cleary Ave., Metairie, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests mass intentions.
