Richard Warren Peyton Jr.

Richard Warren Peyton Jr., born April 29, 1954, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on November 15, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Richard lived a full and vibrant life, marked by deep bonds of family, friendship, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.

He is survived by the love of his life, Susan Varnadore; his son Terrell Peyton and daughter-in-law Brandi; his brother Brent Peyton (Linda); his sister Renee Jackson (Michelle); and his cherished granddaughter Kaylee Peyton. He is also remembered lovingly by his nieces Tessie Jackson Wise, Darla Jackson Eisworth, Allison Peyton, Melissa Peyton, Kerrie Peyton, and by his dear friend Linda Rushing Gill.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Peyton Sr. and Addys Juanita Peyton.

Those who knew Richard will remember his passion for hunting, his joy in spending time at his camp, and the countless moments he shared with friends and family. His warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
