Richard Libby, Sr.

Richard Louis Libby, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 22,2025 aged 77 years. He was born April 7, 1948 in New Orleans, LA, the fourth of eight children to Howard and Delores (McInnis) Libby. While serving with the U.S. Navy in 1969, he met and married Deborah Hope Neville in Orange County, NC. Together they birthed two children Ricky, Jr and Jennifer Hope. 

Richard is preceded into the Kingdom by his parents, his wife, his sister Cissy, as well as two brothers, Sonny and Barry. 

He is survived by, son Ricky, Jr (Wendy), and daughter Jennifer (Adam) Hopkins. His grandchildren include Christine (Cole) Heinen, Ricky III, Katelyn, Hannah, Garrett, Cullen, and Caroline. His great-grandchildren include Micah, Sammi, Luke, and Eli. Richard is remembered by many friends, cousins, nephews, and nieces across the country. 

Rick was a man of faith, closely attached to his family. He enjoyed the outdoors as a hunter and worked different crafts in his construction career. Earlier in his life, he served with the Houma Fire Department for a time. He worked closely with Ricky, Jr's painting business and resided in Mandeville, La.
