Renée Reno Rhyne was born on March 24, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She passed away on March 20, 2026, in Franklinton, Louisiana. Renée lived a life filled with love, creativity, and joy, touching many who had the privilege to know her.
Renée had many passions that brought happiness to her every day. She enjoyed painting and crafts, showing a talent for creating beautiful things with her hands. Gardening was another of her favorite activities, where she found peace and fulfillment. She also loved raising peacocks and had a great affection for her dogs. Most of all, Renée cherished her time with her grandchildren, who brought much light into her life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Rhyne, who stood by her side throughout her journey. Renée was the daughter of Sebe Reno and Janet Reno. She leaves behind her sisters Shelley Longworth, Patty Reno, and Phyllis Reno, who shared many memories and moments together.
Renée was a devoted mother to Michelle Cox (Brad Fife), Melissa Cox (Todd Magee), Kevin Cox (Rhonda Cox), Todd Williams, Raelynn Simmons (Tyler Simmons), and Paige Palmer (Skylar Palmer). She was also a grandmother to many beloved grandchildren: Mallory Ard, Madeleine Leimkuhler, Alexis Fife, Bradley Fife, Melody Davenport, Peter Cox, Grace Platou, Kaegan Braud, Brandon Braud, Emma Braud, Suzanna Cox, Marigold Cox, Sullivan Cox, Rayne Simmons, Zander Simmons, Paxton Givens, Princeton Palmer, and Piper Palmer. Her family extended even further to include her great-grandchild, Jax Bear Taylor, who added even more joy to her life.
Renée experienced the loss of one son, Kenneth Cox, who passed before her.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Renée's memory on April 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM 'till at 23196 E Fairgrounds Rd, Franklinton, Louisiana 70438. Family, friends, and all who knew Renée are invited to come together to remember her gentle spirit and the love she shared.
Renée Reno Rhyne’s life was one of kindness, creativity, and family devotion. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who loved her.
