Rebecca Lynn Speyrer

Rebecca “Becky” Speyrer, a resident of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 73. She was born on August 29, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Robert Woodall, and her mother, Verna Augusta Goehring.

She is survived by her loving husband, John B. Speyrer Jr.; her sons, Corey (Kara) Matherne and Lonnie (Lauren) Matherne; her daughters, Rachelle (Mike) Knighten and Jennifer Speyrer; her brother, Steve (Kristi) Woodall; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Becky was a devoted member of St. Timothy Church and the Samaritan Center. She had a servant’s heart and found great joy in volunteering and helping others. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She also loved traveling, working in her yard, and riding bikes—embracing life with warmth, kindness, and gratitude.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Timothy Church on the North Shore.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
