Chief Petty Officer, Randy Gerard Wauldron, 63, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 26,2026 after a courageous and honorable battle against cancer. A decorated veteran of the Gulf War era, Chief Wauldron’s service as an Intelligence Specialist Chief took him around the globe serving in numerous installations and commands including:
NTC/ RTC Great Lakes, Illinois; USS Constellation (CV-64); Lowry Air Force Base, Colorado; Patrol Squadron 48, Naval Maritime Intelligence Training Center, Dam Neck, Virginia; Chief of Naval Operations/ Office of Naval Intelligence, Pentagon; USS Tarawa; Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C., U.S. Defense Attache Office, Mexico City, Mexico; U.S. Defense Attache Office, Bogota, Colombia; U.S. Forces Azores, Portugal; and Commander, Naval Air Reserve Force.

Chief Wauldron retired from the United States Navy in October 2002 after 21 years of service.
Beyond his military service, Randy carried those same qualities into every aspect of his life. He had an ability to connect with people, regardless of their background or the circumstances in which they met. He was someone people turned to for advice, guidance, and a voice of reason. His ability to influence those around him was something that stayed with people after they parted ways.
Randy had passion for music and craftsmanship. He could pick up and play any instrument, but his favorite instrument was the guitar. He had the ability to widdle any piece of wood into art. He enjoyed being on the water and fishing. There was never a lack of good conversation when Randy was around. He often made a new friend anywhere he went. He was a member of the Gulf Coast Tres Dias #40 Christian fellowship and sat at the “Table of Jacob”.
Above all else, Randy was a family man. He took pride in providing for his family and raising his children and grandchildren. He instilled in them the importance of standing up for what is right, living by faith, hard work, and treating people with respect. These were not simply things Randy believed in; they were principles he lived by every day.
Randy leaves behind his devoted wife and soulmate, Sandy Feraci Wauldron, who stood beside him through life’s joys and challenges. He will be forever remembered and cherished by his children: Jaime Collick (Christopher), Christopher Wauldron, Natalia Wauldron, Camila Wauldron, Megan Holmes Braud (Lloyd), Amber Holmes Stephens (Preston), and Trey Holmes. His greatest blessings included his grandchildren Joel Holmes, Jacob Holmes, Gage Braud, Alexander Collick, Preston Stephens, Isabella Collick, Madelyn Stephens, Allie Braud, Emersyn Stephens, and his beloved dog, Daisy. He is survived by his brothers Joe, Scott, Kevin, and Gerard (Laura) Wauldron. He is preceded in death by his parents Joan Bova Wauldron and Arthur Wauldron.
Our time with Randy may have come to an end, but the influence he had on our lives has not. We will carry his stories, laughter, wisdom, and values with us. In remembering him, we hope to continue treating others with the same honesty, fairness, and kindness that he showed throughout his life.
His lessons, values, and guidance will continue to live through his children, grandchildren, brothers, family, friends, and fellow Navy Shipmates. The countless memories made with Randy will be shared for generations, as well as an example for how to live a meaningful life.
