Rachel Bardwell

Rachel Bardwell of Ponchatoula, Louisiana made her final journey home surrounded by her family and friends on November 12, 2022 at the age of 87. Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, John Gregory Stanga and Hilda Vining Stanga, her husband, Willard Bardwell, as well as her siblings; John T. Stanga, Lillian S. Kendrick, her twin brother Richard R. Stanga, Cleo P. Stanga and her nephew John Travis Stanga.

Rachel is survived by her sister, Jaqualine Nellie Stanga, her nieces, Patricia K. Schwartz (William), Gwen S. Domiano (Ronney), Debra K. Shane (Lenoard), Charlynn S. Mader (Gregg) and her nephew Greggory Kendrick.  She also leaves behind to cherish her memories her great nieces and nephews as well as her great-great nieces and nephews.

Rachel had a passion for entertaining her friends and family and never met a stranger. She had a love for her church where she was an active member, pianist, and organist for over 56 years. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, photography, baking her cream puffs, coconut cakes and bread. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, a Member of the Garden Club and attended every Patriotic event around including, the 4th of July flag raising in Ponchatoula every year.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Friday November 18, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Bible Holiness Church 24318 LA-22 Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
