He was a 1972 graduate of Holy Cross High School, where he was a co-captain of the Tigers football team. He attended Louisiana State University and went on to have a successful career in the construction industry as General Manager/President of Lee Tractor until 2015. He retired in 2021. Phil was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather, caring brother and great friend. He was a devout Catholic and a Brother Knight with the Knights of Columbus, volunteering his time and efforts to the Our Lady of the Lake Fair, Christmas programs for needy families, and Lenten fish fries. He was an usher and greeter at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. Phil loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He loved all things LSU…football, basketball, baseball, and, of course, he loved his New Orleans Saints. Phil enjoyed weekend golf and the occasional fishing trips with his buddies. More than anything, Phil loved grilling on the patio with his family and friends.
