Patricia Gail Rutherford, a beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Teacher, passed away on June 11, 2025, in Mandeville, Louisiana. She was born on September 6, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan.

Patricia's life was characterized by a profound commitment to education and the betterment of her community. As a teacher, she inspired countless students and contributed to shaping the future of many young minds. Her impact extended beyond the classroom through her active involvement with the Washington Parish School Board, where she worked tirelessly to advocate for quality education.

Outside her professional endeavors, Patricia found joy in her hobbies and cherished moments spent with family. She had a deep love for reading books, which not only fueled her passion for learning but also offered her immense joy and relaxation. Additionally, she expressed her creativity through the making of bead art, a craft that brought her peace and satisfaction. Patricia was also a devoted companion to her dog, Roxy, who brought warmth and comfort to her daily life.

Patricia is survived by her loving son, Brian O'Cull, and her siblings, Sue Caligiuri, Cathy Schoenbeck, and Perry Null. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her kindness and dedication.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Rutherford; her father, Sherman Null; and her mother, Lena Helen Carter. Patricia's legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
