Monta Howell Penton

Monta Howell Penton, born on April 1, 1950, in Picayune, Mississippi, left this world on June 3, 2025. He was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 60, where he was known and respected for his skills and commitment to his work.

Monta is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela K. Penton. He was a proud father to two children, Heath Alsobrooks (Jennifer) and Kelly Alsobrooks (Glen). Monta cherished his seven grandchildren: Caleb, Colby, Calie, Chloe, Kelsey, Kenady, and Kashdon, as well as two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Luke.

He is also survived by his siblings, Mary A. Blevins and Johnny Penton, who will carry his memory forward.

Monta was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Belma Penton, as well as his siblings: Gloria Nell Eckles, Martha Burge, WB, Tex, Peggy, and Bobby Penton.

Monta Howell Penton will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his trade, leaving behind a legacy of love and hard work. There are no services scheduled at this time. Care has been entrusted to Bagnell & Son Funeral home in Covington, LA.
