Obituary

Born November 5, 1946 - August 23, 2026

Milton Sharp, age 79, of Loranger, La, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was a simple man who found joy in the things that mattered most, his family, the outdoors and the people he loved. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

When he wasn't spending time with his family and friends, you could often find him outdoors. He had a lifelong love of hunting and fishing and enjoyed the peace and quiet that came with being in the woods or out on the water. To him, it was never just about the hunt or the catch, it was about the time spent outdoors and the memories made along the way.

Milton lived a humble life. He didn't need much to be happy. A fishing pole, and hunting trip, good company and his family nearby were all he needed. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, hardworking nature and the love he had for those around him.

He is survived by this daughter Sherry Easley (Robert Easley), son Daniel Sharp, Grandchildren Joshua Prevost, Raymond Cooper III, Ashley Sharp, Great Grandchildren Remington Prevost, John Prevost, Skyler Adams, Charles Schliegelmeyer and Creighton Schliegelmeyer. Brother Coleman Sharp, and Special Cousin Kenny Sharp.

Proceeded in death by his father and mother Milton Lorn Sharp and Lois Self Lindemulder, Sisters Carolyn Sauls, Loraine Rochel, Dorothy Verdin and Marlene Smith. Brother Kevin Sharp.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Fussell Cemetery, Covington, LA.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in the stories we tell and in the places he loved most. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
