Matthew Clayton Newell

Matthew Clayton Newell passed away February 4, 2023, at the age of 39. Matthew was a resident of Bush, Louisiana and a native of Brandon, Mississippi. He is survived by his mother Debbie Newell, Father Charles Newell, Brother Joshua Newell, Sister-in-Law Christy Newell, and Niece Ryleigh Newell.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie and Leon Newell and Sarah and Raymond Swearengen of Meridian, Mississippi.

He was a member of Lakeshore Church and Graduated from Northlake Christian School in 2002, as well as Southeastern Louisiana University in 2013

He enjoyed fishing, knife making, archery, water skiing, wake boarding, and he loved animals.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday February 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75121 Highway 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 4:00 p.m. until service time. Internment will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi 2638 23rd Ave, Meridian, MS 39305.
