Mary Ethel Simmons

Mary Ethel Lee Fontenot Simmons passed away on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the age of 83. She was a native of Ville Platte, Louisiana and resided in Covington, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents; Douglas and Lucille Fontenot, her husbands’ Joseph Donald Roberie and Charles Hubert Simmons, her brother; Harrison Fontenot, sisters Hazel Soileau, Anna Lou Soileau and T Rose Fontenot. She is survived by her daughter Linda Rogers (Brian) and son Christopher Roberie (Crystal), her sister Anna Belle Catorie, two grandchildren; Brad Rogers, Jessica Fischtziur, three great grandchildren; Alyson Rogers, Jade Fischtziur and Sophia Fischtziur. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church 1074 Hwy LA 748 Grand Prairie, Louisiana 70589 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery.
