Mary Tape

d. October 3, 2022

Mary Ann Tape (nee Driscal) passed away peacefully October 3, 2022, in her home,
surrounded by loved ones. Mary was born November 22, 1945, in Grand Rapids,
Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amelia Turnbull and Emery Driscal and her
twin brother Larry Driscal.

While Mary lived a modest life, she leaves behind an abundance of riches in children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Warren and
Larry Tape (Sharman Stockstill Tape), her nephew Emery Driscal, her grandchildren,
Tiffany Tape (Christopher Murley), Solomon Tape, Isabella Tape, Samwise Tape,
Atticus Tape, Ethan Tape and Luke Tape. She is also survived by her great
grandchildren, Elizabeth Murley, Reid Giovingo, and Jasper Giovingo.

Mary loved collecting shells at the beach, driving her jeep convertible, growing roses
in her garden and most of all spending time nurturing her children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren.

With a career in hospitality and retail sales, Mary used her talents in several jobs
including owning and operating a Beachfront RV Park in Key Largo, Florida, serving as
Innkeeper at Hibiscus Bed and Breakfast in Grayton Beach, Florida and most recently
working for almost two decades at Walmart in Covington, Louisiana. She had a
discerning taste for Authentic Key Lime Pie, and she loved to cook manicotti. With an
indomitable spirit, Mary persevered through many hardships and obstacles in her
life, inspiring others. Her legacy of empathy, kindness and compassion will live on in
her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private ceremony celebrating Mary’s life will be held for friends and family at a
later date.
