Mary Elizabeth Brand

Mary Elizabeth Barrett Brand, age 69, resident of Mandeville, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on November 17, 2023 . She was a native of Gretna, Louisiana, born on September 18, 1954. Mary is the beloved Daughter of Francis Xavier Barrett Sr. and Libarine Henly Barrett and treasured sister of Francis X. Barrett Jr., Donald Barrett, and Gerald Thomas Barrett. She is the mother of two daughters, Kelly Elizabeth Doega (and husband Cade) and Katie Elaine Collins (late husband Jesse) and Mia to 4 grandchildren (Tre’, Haily, Aubrey and Parker). Mary is also survived by numerous family members, friends and her dog Buddy.  Mary loved to fish and crack jokes.  She always had a way to make someone smile and she was always laughing.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

A celebration of life ceremony will be held in Mandeville, La. at a later date to be announced by family.
