Mary Lou Borne Risey

Mary Lou Borne Risey, age 75, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dale Risey, and her parents, Warren I. Borne Sr. and Florence C. Borne.

She is survived by her brother, Warren Borne Jr. (Melanie), and her sister, Tammy Burke (Kevin); her beloved nieces and nephew, Ashley Borne (Michael), Leeann Baham (John), and Brett Borne (Margaret); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mary Lou was a graduate of St. Joseph 's High School. She will be remembered for her warm heart and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 621 State Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:20 a.m.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
