It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mary Schreiner Beauvais, affectionately known as "Gammie," who left us on July 7, 2025, in Metairie, Louisiana. Born on September 2, 1942, in New Orleans, Mary was a cherished member of her family, known for her unwavering love and dedication to those around her.
Mary's life was filled with joy and warmth, and she treasured every moment spent with her family. She was the proud mother of Toni Rolling McCloskey and Larry Lee Rolling Jr., and her legacy continues through her five wonderful grandchildren: Corey and wife Blake, Lindsey and husband Dan, Taylor and wife Katrina, Brandon and Kaitlin. Above all, Mary adored her six great-grandchildren, Amelia, Bowen, Abby, Banks, Casen, and Beckett, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her immediate family, Mary also had four step-children and six step-grandchildren, with whom she shared many joyous occasions and loving memories.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Pascal Beauvais, and her cherished parents, George A. Schreiner and Josephine Conzanere Schreiner. Her life also reflects the love she held for her late family members: her son, Shawn Jeffery Harper, her son-in-law, Henry McCloskey, and her dear sisters, Joann Schreiner Gambino and Dorothy Schreiner Volz.
An active member of the Jefferson Senior Center Pink House, Mary enjoyed many hobbies, including playing Bunco, dancing, and, most notably, spending precious time with her family. Her laughter and spirit enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Gammie, we will forever carry her memory in our hearts, honoring her legacy of love, kindness, and family.
