Marion Jeannette Stanga Marcotte, born on August 21, 1939, in Superior, Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana. She was a cherished woman who lived a life full of laughter, joy, and dedication to her family, friends, and community.

Marion is survived by and was dedicated to her marriage of 64 years to Ronald Anthony Marcotte. Together, they shared many wonderful years of love, joy, and affection. Their time was spent enjoying life with passion, travels, music, family and friends.

She was the devoted mother of four children. Survived by: Deborah Lynn D’Amico (Salvador) of Alpharetta, Georgia; Dianne Marie Harper (Dale) of Conroe, Texas; Michele (Shelly) Rene Forte (Joseph) of Walker, Louisiana; and Paul Scott Marcotte (Rachael) of Abita Springs, Louisiana.

She was blessed with many grandchildren. Among her grandchildren were: Salvador Jean D’Amico III (Kristin), Jessica Rachelle Hendrix, Lauren Ashley Harper-Tucker (AJ), Robert Joshua Husser (Aly), Aaron Daniel Husser (Elizabeth), Brandi Michelle Marcotte Bowes (Albert), and Brandon Paul Marcotte.

Marion also delighted in the laughter and presence of her great-grandchildren: Ashley Anne Harper-Mann; Cameron Scott Harper, Maxwell Pierce D’Amico, Isis Elaine Husser, Hunter Grace D’Amico, Allyson Jaye Tucker, Breigh Anna Husser, Grayson Hawes, and her great-great-grandchild Nicole Taylor Mann.

Marion’s love extended warmly to her surviving sisters: Elizabeth Ruth Cleaver (John) of Spring, Texas, Sheila Kay Stanga of Covington, Shirley Louise Stanga of Ponchatoula, as well as her brother Thomas Andrew Stanga (Velvet) of Springfield, Louisiana.

Marion’s passing is also marked by the remembrance of her dear deceased family members including her parents: Robert Daniel Stanga Sr, Nora Jeannette Stanga; her brothers John Edward Stanga, Robert Daniel Stanga Jr., and John Louis Stanga; her sister Lynda Carol Tamburello; Grandparents: Robert and Mae Hammond Stanga, William and Emma Nober Brunner, and sister-in-law Phyllis Stanga, as well as brother-in-law Joe Tamburello.

Marion was known for her many passions. She was a stunning country girl who transformed herself into a refined lady of enormous class and style, leaving a beautiful legacy of inspiration to all her children and grandchildren. She was a very fashionable and glamorous lady, with all of her sparkle, she would light up the room. She was an excellent cook. She took much pleasure entertaining and hosting parties at her home. Dancing with the love of her life brought her boundless joy as did gathering with family and friends for lively celebrations. Her beauty shined, reflecting her care and attention to detail. Her other companion, whom she adored as well as missed, was Sassy her black lab, who was always by her side. She had a true love for her home and took pride in keeping it and her yard beautiful. An entrepreneur as well, Marion co-owned with her husband and operated Marcotte’s Air and Heat, showing her strength and dedication in business.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her. A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and the beautiful moments she shared with so many.

Marion Jeannette Stanga Marcotte’s life was one of kindness, beauty, and love filled with cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and joy that will always be remembered.
