Marie Boudoin Cantrelle

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Marie Boudoin Cantrelle on the 25th of February.

Marie was born March 5th, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Lawrence Boudoin and Odelia Boudoin. She was married to the love of her life, Leroy Cantrelle since 1970. A longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana, it was there that she and Leroy built the foundation for a nearly 60-year journey together. Joining them on this journey were their three children, Lee Cantrelle (Maggie), Roy Cantrelle (Susan), and Kevin Cantrelle (Jessica). Marie was the proud grandmother of Hayden, Caroline, Kate, Garrett, Julia, Meredith, Madeline, and Matthew Cantrelle. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Marie and Leroy found themselves making a new home in Slidell.

Marie loved to travel with her husband and used any opportunity to do so. She also enjoyed supporting her sons and grandchildren in all their school activities and cheering them on loudly at their sporting events. She looked forward to having lunch with her friends, especially the Benjamin Street Ladies.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband Leroy Cantrelle; her brother Hamilton Boudoin (Debbie); her children Lee, Roy, and Kevin; as well as her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Marie Boudoin Cantrelle will be held on the 28th of March 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell, Louisiana. A full Catholic Mass to follow at noon.
